A wedding filled with laughter, symbolism and love! I can honestly say that I've never attended a wedding with that much fun. Despite the non-stop showers and last minute change of venue, everyone focused on what was most important; celebrating the love between the two beautiful brides Ebony and Lynsey.
The details Ebony and Lynsey took in creating their perfect wedding was incredible. The rings, which Ebony described as being unconventional were matte black and with a gap in it. She explained that wedding rings represent a circle that has no beginning or end and is therefore a symbol of infinity. It is endless, eternal, just the way love should be. The gap symbolises the current injustice in Australia with gay marriage being illegal. They intend to get them filled when it is officially legalised 🏳️🌈
Lynsey's Bowie inspired wedding shoes will definitely be something I talk about for a long time. Her incredible skills turned $6 Kmart shoes into pure magic! Between the two brides glittertastic shoes I couldn't escape from the specks of glitter for days. The ring box was a vintage cat that they found in an op shop, which the adorable ring bearer Flynn loved dropping all day.
The venue was styled by Scenic Rim Wedding Hire (links below) and the work they did was amazing. They had all the solutions in creating a stress free day. The ceremony was beautiful with special thanks to Anita Higgs of Neat Celebrations. It was filled with tear jerking vows and laughs from start to finish. The brides linked their arms and strutted down the aisle in a fit of laughter.
Bridal party photos are the time to really let the creativity fly. I loved the energy everyone had! Dabbing, high school prom photos and the faces were hilarious!
The reception was MCed by the amazing Tyler who kept the laughs coming all night with my favourite wedding game, the shoe game. Any brides and groom looking for a fun game, please add this to the list. Harry Styles, Mexican food and great company became the perfect formula for the night.
The fluorescent lights turned off and the party lights came on. A huge thank you to everyone who brought this beautiful celebration to life.
