They say it's good luck when it rains on your wedding day but the lovely bride, Tamara wasn't having any of it. To her luck the rain held off and it was a fantastic afternoon to share with her new husband, Brett. A lot of brides worry about cloudy days but in fact they are perfect ingredient to create romantic images. The cloud cover acts as a giant soft box for the sun, diffusing its typically intense rays. I really love how dreamy and romantic it makes the day.
Living on the Gold Coast for over 8 years I definitely take our breathtaking beaches for granted. This is the second time I've been lucky enough to shoot a wedding at Burleigh and this amazing location never lets me down. The ceremony was styled by KIS Ceremonies who were extremely lovely and professional (a link to their Facebook can be found down below). Speaking of lovely, I have to mention their fantastic celebrant, Tarnya Bennet who was an absolute joy. You can really tell when someone truly loves what they do and it shined through Tarnya's service.
Tamara looked AMAZING (isn't her headband incredible?) as she walked walking down the aisle to I get to love you by Ruelle, surrounded by family and friends. The ceremony was as quick as you can get them and I don't think Tamara and Brett would have it any other way. Nothing but smiles and laughter all round and I couldn't help but go along for the ride. The great thing about Burleigh is it has everything to offer, the beach, beautiful trees and the Surfers Paradise/Broadbeach skyline. As we ventured up the hill for the personal couple session the newlyweds were cheered by the adoring spectators. We even had one lady come up and pick all the leaves out of Tamara's dress. You've got to love random acts of human kindness.
